To secure a seat, please register in advance. The fee includes General Admission to the Garden.

If you prefer, you may purchase tickets at the gate and watch the live demonstration; however, seating is not guaranteed.


DESCRIPTION

Kadomatsu, or “gate pines,” are traditional New Year decorations in Japan. They are placed in pairs at the entrances of homes, shops, temples, and businesses. Each arrangement includes the “three friends of winter” (Sho Chiku Bai): pine for longevity, bamboo for strength, and plum for renewal.
