Join us for a captivating workshop on shogi, the traditional Japanese strategy board game often referred to as "Japanese Chess". Presented by Phoenix Shogi, this session will cover the fundamentals of shogi, providing participants with a brief look at the history and legacy of the game, as well as a chance to learn and play with others. Whether you're completely new or have played a game or two, this workshop promises an insightful journey into the fascinating world of shogi.

Instructor Information:

Phoenix Shogi is a group of enthusiastic shogi players led by Tyiss Goodman and Vincent Simone.

Tyiss has many years of teaching experience and is a former chess instructor. Vincent is an amateur 1-dan shogi player, experienced chess player, and go enthusiast.
