Whether in the act of creating, giving an arrangement as gift, or simply contemplating your display on your table or windowsill, ikebana can lift the spirits and touch the heart.
Januaryās Theme: New Year's NageireĀ
This special holiday ikebana workshop includes three parts. First, Ping Wei sensei will discuss the principles of ikebana while demonstrating examples of flower setting. Second, participants will make their own creations based on the principles. Then Ping Wei sensei will conduct an evaluation of each participants arrangements to help everyone further understand Ikebana aesthetics.
You will be exploring one of the many styles of Ikebana, Nageire. This style encapsulates fresh and spontaneous designs. Enjoy this freeform style of Ikebana as we celebrate the New Year.Ā
