Garden Clean Up Day!
Time & Location
About the Event
The Japanese Friendship Garden of Phoenix is getting ready to usher in the fall season! On October 3rd, 2020, join us for our annual Garden Clean-up! Meet and serve with Garden volunteers, staff members, and community members. Let’s work together to make the Garden beautiful as we prepare for an exciting season! This is a great opportunity to preview what it's like to be a volunteer in the garden. Information will be available for those who are interested in becoming a regular garden volunteer. Join us in caring for this serene, tranquil space by light pruning, raking, sweeping, and more. Please wear comfortable cool clothing, closed-toed shoes, and garden gloves (extra pairs are available). We recommend applying sunscreen and insect repellent. Bring a water bottle as well! Some light snacks will be available. Bring your friends and family! Participants under the age of 18 are welcome if accompanied by an adult. When you arrive and check-in you will be assigned to a clean-up crew working in one section of the garden according to your comfort level.
