Advanced Ticketing
FAQ -
Spring 2022

In order serve our guests better so you can fully enjoy a quiet, tranquil environment while in the Garden, we are now requiring advanced, time-slotted tickets on Saturdays and Sundays starting February 5 and continuing through May 29. Read our FAQ here.

Why are advanced tickets required on certain days?

Spring is a beautiful season in Phoenix and many people, both local residents and out-of-town visitors, make the Japanese Friendship Garden of Phoenix one of their springtime destinations. In order to achieve our mission of providing a tranquil experience in our Garden, we are requiring advanced tickets for General Admission on select dates to guide the flow of attendance during this busy time of year.

2

When are advanced tickets required?

Advanced tickets will be required Saturdays and Sundays from February 5-May 29; Tuesday-Sunday, March 7-18; and Tuesday-Sunday, April 11-17, 2022. Guests can choose a one-hour window time slot for entry into the Garden between 9:00 a.m.-2:00 p.m. The 3:00 p.m. time slot will only allow a half hour window for entry, with last admission into the Garden at 3:30 p.m.

3

Do members need advanced tickets?

Members do not need to reserve advanced tickets for the primary or additional adult membership holder, or the Flexible Guest if no additional adult is named. Members at the Household/Family level and above also do not need to reserve advanced admission for their children. If members wish to bring along friends or family not covered by their membership, then advanced tickets must be purchased for those guests.

4

Can I use or transfer my ticket to a different day or time slot?

Tickets are non-transferable and must be used for the day and time slot of the original purchase. This applies to all advanced ticket sales, not just the days advanced tickets are required. Late arrivals for the same day after the original time slot printed on the ticket day may be accommodated as space permits. However, entry is only guaranteed during the one-hour window of time printed on the ticket.

5

I can’t come to the Garden on the day and time slot I originally purchased. How can I get a refund?

Requests for refunds must be submitted via email to info@jfgphx.org within 48 hours of the original ticket date and time slot.

6

Is re-entry allowed?

Re-entry is not permitted when advanced tickets are required. This applies to Saturdays and Sundays from February 5-May 29; Tuesday-Sunday, March 7-18; and Tuesday-Sunday, April 11-17, 2022.

7

Do I need to leave after the one-hour window of time printed on my ticket?

Guests must enter the garden during the one-hour span of time printed on the ticket but do not need to complete their visit or leave the Garden in that time frame. The average visit through the Japanese Friendship Garden of Phoenix is approximately 45 minutes but guests may stay longer. However, to maintain capacity, staff may ask guests to wrap up visits that extend beyond two hours.
